Make an Orange Mustard Vinaigrette with chef Darren Robertson

Recipe sneak peek!

We recently announced the one and only Darren Robertson of Three Blue Ducks fame as our very first Guest Chef inside the Grow It Local Seed Service...

Would you like to have a sneaky look at part of the epic recipe he made for our Seed Service subscribers?

Inside our Seed Service, members spent summer busily growing their own Garden Salad with heirloom seeds we sent direct to their door. And because this is a fully supported patch-to-plate experience, we brought on Dazza to create a special recipe showing how to make a meal with all those beautiful leaves our members grew.

Darren went all out, creating a Garden Salad with Orange Mustard Vinaigrette and Macadamia Crunch. Yuuuum!

You'll need to be a Seed Service member to access the full recipe (it's inside your Members Dashboard).

If you're not yet a member, we hope you enjoy learning part of the recipe — the Orange Mustard Vinaigrette bit!

Orange Mustard Vinaigrette Recipe

  • Juice of half an orange
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 4 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt
  • Plenty of pepper

We're aiming for a 2:1 ratio of two parts orange, one part olive oil.

1. Mix the orange juice, olive oil and mustard in a bowl. You can grate in a little orange rind for extra flavour if you wish.

2. Season with salt and pepper then taste.
You may need to adjust the acidity level with a little more orange juice.

3. Drizzle over your favourite salad.

Delish! 😋
