Grow It Local Seed Service (Free) - Autumn 2022

Grow It Local in partnership with a network of forward thinking councils (see list below) have launched a free 'Seed Service' that has been designed by River Cottage Australia host and master grower Paul West to help aspiring growers achieve home grown success. SEASONAL THEME This instalment in the Seed Service is a Greek-inspired, patch-to-plate adventure and celebration of gardening grandmaster Costa Georgiadis. This season its all about learning how to grow Costa’s famous family Spanakopita. WHO CAN REGISTER Seed Service is for anyone interested in growing or learning to grow, whether in pots on a balcony, in a courtyard or in a backyard. Seed Service is free if you are a new member to Grow It Local and available for purchase if you are an existing member. GET IN QUICK There is a limited supply of free seeds and these are being allocated on a first come, first served basis. If the freebies have run out there’s an option to purchase. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO To receive Grow It Local - Seed Service for free you need to be a new member, sign up (by clicking the Sign In To Purchase button below) and be from one of the councils listed below. It's first in best dressed. Alternatively Seed service can be purchased. WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE You will receive: - two packets of organic seeds, spinach and rocket - instructional how-to-grow videos from Paul West accessible via QR-code on the back of each seed pack. These cover the plants origins, nutritional characteristics, tips and tricks to growing success, harvesting suggestions and music to grow to recommendations - every recipient also receives Costa’s Spanakopita recipe - opportunity to join a monthly Ask An Expert session to troubleshoot, ask questions and get advice - access to monthly live 'learn to grow’ workshops eg how to grow in pots with Paul West SUPER IMPORTANT Please ensure to provide your correct mailing address so we can get your Seed Service package to you PARTICIPATING COUNCILS Seed Service is available for free ( while supply lasts) to anyone who is a new member to Grow It Local and who live in the following local government areas.
