Description
Join us and Annemarie from The Food Forest who will share her knowledge and experience on the what the ingredients are for a successful herb and vegetable garden.
During this workshop, Annemarie will discuss:
- Garden design
- Garden bed types: in the ground vs raised beds, wicking beds or pots in small spaces
- Soil types and soil fertility
- Water and irrigation
- Mulch
- Crops and seasons
- Insects: beneficial and pests plus some strategies
- People and availability
Following this we will venture out into the Precinct Community Garden and discuss the garden's successes and challenges and have opportunities for questions and conversations.
