The City of Marion is working in partnership with Green Adelaide and Grow It Local to support our residents to grow, share and eat locally grown foods. We support a number of community gardens and offer other workshops and training opportunities. It's all about building healthier and more connected communities and reducing our environmental impact!

Description

Learn about growing herbs and veggies in this practical and interactive session facilitated by Lachlan McKenzie. The session will include: How to create and maintain healthy organic soils - Composting and worm farms - Pest prevention and control - Seasonal planting tips - Take home some free seeds to get you started! This workshop is suitable for beginner gardeners and also those with more experience. Light refreshments will be provided. This workshop is hosted by the Oaklands Community Garden Group and supported by the City of Marion.
