I am a qualified permaculture designer and I have been slowly building out my modern permaculture garden on our brand new suburban home block for 4 years. I started with just 3 chickens. Now I have solar energy, solar charged battery power, 8 chickens, a veggie patch, 7 young fruit trees, and a huge thriving compost bin teaming with worms. Soon will be adding bees, water tank, greenhouse and expanding out veggie garden with new boxes.
